Description:

Forensic and Investigative Sciences majors are encouraged (but not required) to attend the annual meeting of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, which manages the program that handles accreditation for the science track of the major. This is an excellent educational and professional development opportunity. This is also a good chance to interact with faculty from future graduate programs that students may want to attend. Students from the Aggie Forensic and Investigative Sciences Organization often go to this event. A subset of students present research posters or talks. FIVS 435 accounts for this by having a flexible schedule that week and an assignment that can be done while attending the conference or on campus.
