The Honors and Undergraduate Research Advisory Committee (HURAC) is a reporting committee of the TAMU Faculty Senate. HURAC meets in-person once each semester and provides advice on standards and policies related to Honors and Undergraduate Research programs at the University, as well as conducting business throughout the year via email. HURAC also serves as a resource and advice/support group to Honors and Undergraduate Research on the concerns of the University community regarding related issues including graduation distinctions, Honors Courses, honors sequences, and recognition of achievements in honors. The committee membership represents the University perspective by including faculty from all colleges. HURAC is tasked with communicating its recommendations to the Faculty Senate on policies and procedures dealing with Honors and Undergraduate Research at Texas A&M University by way of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and simultaneously to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies.

Student representation on the committee is provided by Honors Student Council, the Honors Housing Community Student Leaders, and Undergraduate Research Ambassadors.
