This event is a requirement for all 2nd year Regent Scholars in the College of Education & Human Development. The Regent Scholars are a part of a book club that meets once each month to talk about the book Smart Girl A First Gen Origin Story by Dr. La'Tonya Rease Miles. In addition to discussing the book the students have also met stakeholders both on and off campus who are a part of supporting their success. On April 7th the Regents will have breakfast with the author and discuss the book and what being First-gen means in a small setting. After breakfast, all CEHD First-gen students will be invited to hear a book talk.
