Description:
As part of the Honors Academy Professional Development Series, select Honors students are invited to a breakfast with Dr. Mary Torregrosa, Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh to ask questions pertaining to her area of expertise, career path, advice for students, etc. Dr. Torregrossa obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in 2005 where she trained with Dr. James H. Woods. She was trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Peter Kalivas at the Medical University of South Carolina and in the lab of Dr. Jane Taylor at Yale University. Dr. Torregrossa joined the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. The lab is part of the Translational Neuroscience Program and the Brain Institute. Dr. Torregrossa is training faculty in the Center for Neuroscience (CNUP) and the Molecular Pharmacology Graduate Program.
