As part of the Honors Academy Professional Development Series, select Honors students are invited to a lunch with Dr. Alexei V. Filippenko, Distinguished Professor of Astronomy from University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Filippenko will be lunching with Honors students and discussing shared academic and professional interests, telling of his experiences as a researcher and author, and sharing advice on scholastic and career paths. Dr. Filippenko is visiting A&M as a Hagler Fellow with the Hagler Institute of Advanced Study, and will be presenting the Hagler Eminent Scholar Lecture on "Dark Energy and the Runaway Universe" at 7 p.m. later in the MSC Bethancourt Ballroom on 11/10.
