Description:
The Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, hosted annually by the World Food Prize Foundation, stands as one of the most prestigious global gatherings dedicated to addressing challenges in food security, agricultural innovation, and sustainable development. The 2025 Dialogue, themed "SOILutions for Security," will convene world leaders, scientists, policymakers, business executives, farmers, and youth to explore the critical role of soil health in advancing resilient and sustainable food systems. This year's program emphasizes how innovations in soil regeneration, sustainable land use, and integrated farming practices can strengthen global stability, enhance nutrition, and protect the environment for future generations.

Within this international convening, the Global Youth Institute (GYI) serves as a flagship program empowering the next generation of global problem-solvers. Created in 1994 by Dr. Norman Borlaug, the GYI brings together top high school students from across the United States and around the world to engage directly with leading experts in food and agricultural sciences. Selected through state, national, or virtual youth institutes, student delegates gather in Des Moines each October to present original research papers addressing global food security challenges.
