Event Type:
Sponsored
Location:
Brazos County Expo Center
Description:
The Saddle & Sirloin Futurity Show is an annual livestock show exhibition event hosted by the Saddle & Sirloin Club and Texas A&M University Livestock Judging team. This event is typically the biggest fundraiser that the Saddle & Sirloin Organization and Livestock Judging team host throughout the year. To put on this event each year we have to first book the dates with the Brazos County Expo Center, secure third-party insurance for the event, as well as accommodate judges who we invite to come judge the shows. The proceeds we receive from exhibitors registrations and sponsorships is what allows us to make profit on the event despite us having to pay for judges, venue expenses, awards, etc. Outside of the event being a big fundraiser, the primary purpose of this event is to introduce youth with a passion for agriculture and livestock to the unlimited support that The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences provides to its outstanding students and organizations through the help of Saddle & Sirloin and the Texas A&M Livestock Judging team who oversee the events coordinating.
