XL Academy Excursion Field Trip

Date Range:
November 1, 2019 to November 3, 2019
Event Type:
Sponsored
Location:
New Orleans, LA
Description:
XL Academy was established to provide students the opportunity to experience outstanding examples of leadership, development, identity, and community. The foundation of the trip is foundational to not only understanding the history of leadership, identity, and community in Louisiana but how it is key to informing how we experience American law, commerce and culture to this day. Site visits along the way, include authentic and award-winning lectures, nationally-recognized tours, and networking with community organizations engaged in transnational dialogue through exhibitions, public programs, and public art works. Through this experience, also listed as required for academic courses ALED 491, EPSY 291, EPSY 491, students develop abilities to define, deconstruct, examine, and apply their beliefs, perceptions of themselves, and social interactions as they relate to identity, community, and leadership.
