The mission and purpose of the organization will be to advance healthcare, research, and education related to wilderness medicine;
b. To collaborate as a group of professionals who share medical, conservation, and recreational interest in wilderness activities;
c. To investigate the scope of wilderness medicine by covering topics including (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) expedition and disaster medicine, search and rescue, altitude illness, cold and heat-related injury, dive medicine, trauma, and animal bites/stings;
d. To provide a gateway to membership in the Wilderness Medical Society;
