The MGIG is an organization for medical students interested in exploring a career in medical genetics or those who would like to learn how genetics can be applied to other specialties. Our purpose is to inform medical students on the importance of medical genetics, including inheritance patterns, genetic testing, diagnosis and treatment of genetic conditions, and genetic counseling.
