- 'Crescendo: Music Program Showcase' is a five-day concert series offered in each long semester by the Music Program in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts. Crescendo was launched in Fall 2025. It is designed to shine a public spotlight on student performances developed in courses offered through the PVFA Music Program. The focus is to provide high-impact performances for Music Performance Majors, and Music and Music Technology minors, while presenting outward facing performances to the TAMU and broader district communities.
Performances on the Spring 26 semester 'Crescendo: Music Program Showcase' are:
• April 7, InterArts Showcase. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 7:00 pm
• April 8, Opera Workshop and Voice Studios. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 2:00 pm
• April 8, Songwriters and Guitar Studio. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 7:00 pm
• April 9, Concert in the Park. LAAH Black Box Theatre and Courtyard, 2:00 pm
• April 9, String Area Showcase. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 7:00 pm
• April 10, Experimental Ensemble. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 2:00 pm
• April 10, Piano Studio. LAAH Black Box Theatre, 7:00 pm
• April 11, Aggieland Percussion Group. George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, 3:00 pm
Student performers will represent the depth and breadth of musics studied in the Music Program curriculum including:
• Ensemble performances in various groupings of instruments studied through MUSC 381 including the Aggieland Percussion Group, Opera Workshop, Singer-Songwriter Workshop, and String Chamber Music.
• InterArts Performance
• Music Technology performance
• Solo performances on Electronic Instruments, Guitar, Strings, Percussion, Piano and Voice
