Description:

The SAE Aero Design East competition is an international aerospace engineering competition and the culminating event for the Texas A&M SAE Aero Design team's academic year. Throughout the year we design, build, test, and improve aircraft to compete in all three classes offered, developing valuable hands-on skills for industry. At competition, we perform flights to score the highest possible, competing against university teams from across the world.
Due to the dynamic nature of flight testing, attendance of all members is required to prepare for flights, make important strategic decisions, and repair the aircraft if needed. March 5 will be required for travel to Florida, as the competition begins at 7:00 am on March 6. This organizational travel has been approved by Student Activities.
