My name is Lydia Edwards and I am the President of AIESEC in the United States. AIESEC is a not-for-profit leadership development organization founded in 1948. Available to students at over 1500 universities in 127 countries, AIESEC enables young people to explore and develop their leadership potential to have a positive impact in society by providing them an integrated development experience comprised of leadership opportunities, international internship and volunteer experiences, and a participation in a global learning environment.

The Fall Executive Board Conference, to be attended by members of AIESEC Local Chapters from over 25 universities throughout the United States, is taking place Friday October 26, 2018 to Sunday October 28, 2018 in Chicago, IL . This is the most exclusive event in AIESEC United States that is critical for shaping the direction and future of our organization.

This conference is designed to provide the attendees with the necessary leadership skills and knowledge to help lead the AIESEC membership in their university and country while interacting with delegates from various universities and experts in the field of leadership development.

As a Local Committee President Texas A&M of AIESEC United States, Claire Whorton and other Local Committee Executives are required to join us from Friday October 26, 2018 at 5:00 pm CT to Sunday 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm CT. In order for Claire Whorton and other executives to attend the conference, I request that they be excused from class/work for the duration of the conference and if necessary for travel purposes, on Monday October 29, 2018 as well.
