AGEC 425 - Rural Entrepreneurship Class

Description:
The AGEC 425 class will be observing real world entrepreneurs at their place of business. They will depart TAMU at 7:30am and travel to El Campo, Tx where they will visit two businesses. The class will depart El Campo at approximately 1:30 pm and travel to Navasota, Tx to observe Martha's Bloomers. They will then depart Navasota en route back to College Station and will arrive at approximately 5:30pm. This event is a class field trip in which they will travel to rural businesses to observe and visit with owners regarding tenets of successful business management and planning. Opportunities for students to engage on-site with ownership/management team and relate what is happening in these businesses relative to the business plan each student is developing for class and, in many cases, their post-graduation professional career.
