Description:

As a supplement to INST 363-English as a Second Language Methods I, this field trip program will go to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico from June 11 - July 1, 2018 (21 days). Course participants will spend three weeks learning about Mexican culture and education by providing service (teaching) to school-aged children in two elementary schools in the rural communities of Las Clavellinas and Lagunilla, near San Miguel de Allende. Course participants will develop the curriculum in coordination with the Hacienda Santa Clara Texas A&M Study Center in Mexico and the Instituto Allende, Institute of Cultural & Arts of San Miguel de Allende.
