Purpose:
The Primary mission of Texas A&M University Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club (TAMU BJJ Club) is to provide Texas A&M University students with first rate training in both Sport Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for self-defense. Through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu members will learn how to defend themselves with control maneuvers, leverage, gain fitness plus apply these principles in a sport competition atmosphere. Jiu-Jitsu is considered the gentle art and means art or science. There is opportunity for growth to master levels of curriculum. This will build confidence in one's ability through knowledge in the mind and strength in the body.
