- The purpose of FLAKE is to make LGBTQ+ and ally freshmen feel welcome and included at Texas A&M. We provide opportunities to give LGBTQ+ and ally freshmen a definitive place and purpose at Texas A&M. Our mission is to provide freshmen who feel like they don't fit in anywhere with a strong support system and feeling of acceptance and belonging. Though we are focusing on LGBTQ+ and ally freshmen, we want any freshman who feels like they do not have a home to understand that FLAKE waits for them with open arms.
