About This Organization

The ExCEL Program is designed to help students discover the academic, social and personal balance necessary to facilitate their success at Texas A&M and beyond. The program assists first-year students in making a smooth transition from high school to Texas A&M University. ExCEL works to build a solid and purposeful freshman year by encouraging students to:- Pursue high academic achievement in pursuit of graduation. - Learn to navigate and respond to challenges - Understand the value of being in touch with oneï¿1/2s cultural and self-identity. - Explore new ideas and recognize the value of diversity. - Forge new relationships and integrate into the life of Texas A&M University. - Get acquainted with the various opportunities on campus. - Develop and/or clarify personal values and goals.
