- Purpose:
- The mission of the Howdy Farm (SASA) is to create a means for students at Texas A&M to experience, explore, share, and learn about sustainable agriculture. The purpose of the organization is to run the student farm program which provides experiential learning opportunities for students, an outdoor classroom for teaching and research, and a supply of locally grown organic produce to cafeterias on campus. SASA will serve as a vibrant network of individuals interested in sustainable agriculture. Students have the opportunity to volunteer at the Howdy Farm year-round, as well as volunteer in the community, at outreach events, and on project committees.
