Purpose:
The objectives of the Texas A&M University Student Chapter of the Society of American Military Engineers are to:

a. Jointly achieve the society's goals as prescribed in its strategic plan;
b. Link students with Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) and Science Professionals;
c. Provide the necessary tools for students to use networking outside of the society;
d. Advance scientific and engineering education and assist in the professional development of student members;
e. Respond to the needs of students;
f. Conduct high quality, professional oriented programs and activities that engender camaraderie, and facilitate and improve communication among students, the military services and private sector AEC firms;
g. Have members of the Houston/Galveston and San Antonio Posts mentor Texas A&M University Student Chapter members;
h. Have the accomplishments of student members recognized by the Houston/Galveston and San Antonio Posts.
